MZATUG Timed Ticketing Discussion (6/10/20)

This was a great chat with everyone today - since some of you are open now or closer to opening, it has been wonderful to hear what aspects were popping to the top of the list on everyone's radar.  Especially the contingency plan thoughts if Tess is down/NScan is down, or similar!

One item that came up involved linking a CSI to NScan that would pop a list of names of those attending (Jim Reynolds with Cleveland Museum of Art mentioned this) - is this a customization you have worked with Tessitura to set up or have you been able to work it as standard functionality?  We already use a customization to collect names of attendees for our Summer Party, so if it would be a similar thing to connect that with generating an NScan-driven CSI, that would be incredibly useful.  We would like to get more than the name of the person who made the reservation ideally, but are thinking that to do that when the party is onsite will eat up valuable visit time and lead to boggy queues (which we are trying to minimize as much as possible).  Does this only work with particular scanner devices?  If you can share more on this, would love to hear about it!

Also love the idea of sidewalk decals with QR codes for buying tickets while in the queue if they didn't buy already - thank you Kaley from Country Music Hall of Fame!  I also wonder if there could be a way to utilize this as part of contact tracing for those onsite that would also allow for a time capture of when they were there?

I liked the idea of involving Volunteers as part of a test run to make sure the whole process is viable and also creates a good visitor experience - our volunteers are definitely missing the Museum, and are eager to help out and also return to assisting visitors - how to safely bring them back into the reopening plan has been one of the aspects that has been difficult (many of our volunteers are older and we don't want to jeopardize their health, but also we want to keep them engaged in our experiences and many want to help).

Thanks again to all - stay safe and good luck as we figure out this puzzle that keeps changing!
