Hi all,
We plan on using the new custom utility to extend everyone's memberships by the length of closure upon reopening, but we want to make sure we know everything there is to know before doing so!
The utility itself seems pretty easy to set up, and we used it successfully in Test. We read on another forum that the utility won't update any Inactive memberships, so we made sure the Membership Update Utility on April 1st didn't run, so we could extend our March expiry Members, as well. But then, we noticed that our Extraction we have set up to email our March expiry Members for renewal emails wasn't pulling anyone with March expirations (except 3 memberships that were deactivated.) We figured it had to do with not using the Update Utility. Is this assumption correct? Is there a way around this or something different we should/could be doing?
Also, what are some other things we should take into consideration before using the custom extension utility? Any tips are appreciated!
