Question for this group about v16 benefits feature

Hi Museums, Zoos and Aquariums Members:

We are working on the Benefits feature of v16 memberships, and have a question about one particular aspect of benefits. The Benefits feature is a replacement for the Entitlements Plugin that some of you may be using today.

Our question is this:

Do you have a need today for benefits that are tracked on a monthly basis?

The current entitlements plugin does not do this, but we can imagine some use-cases that make it desirable. We want to know if any of you are tracking monthly benefits in practice today, or if you have programs in place now that would benefit from it.

For example: “Jessica” buys an individual membership to her local zoo. She can go as often as she wants and she gets up to 2 additional admissions per month for guests.

Bonus Question:

Would the ability to have perpetual/sustaining memberships billed monthly change your opinion on whether this was a useful feature?

  • Hi there - We generally need entitlements on a daily, annual, and seasonal basis. For example, members can visit any number of times throughout the year but can only use between 2-4 per day depending on their level. Another common use case is seasonal entitlements: for the run of a special exhibition, members are allotted between 8-16 tickets, again based on their mem level, through the run of the exhibition (which sometimes spans fiscal years). Note: The daily benefits also apply here. For us, additional admissions beyond member admissions (guest privileges) are allocated annually
