Question for this group about v16 benefits feature

Hi Museums, Zoos and Aquariums Members:

We are working on the Benefits feature of v16 memberships, and have a question about one particular aspect of benefits. The Benefits feature is a replacement for the Entitlements Plugin that some of you may be using today.

Our question is this:

Do you have a need today for benefits that are tracked on a monthly basis?

The current entitlements plugin does not do this, but we can imagine some use-cases that make it desirable. We want to know if any of you are tracking monthly benefits in practice today, or if you have programs in place now that would benefit from it.

For example: “Jessica” buys an individual membership to her local zoo. She can go as often as she wants and she gets up to 2 additional admissions per month for guests.

Bonus Question:

Would the ability to have perpetual/sustaining memberships billed monthly change your opinion on whether this was a useful feature?

Thank you!

  • I need the ability to be constantly updating entitlements, really -- our members receive a certain number of tickets (either 1 or 2) at a discounted rate to programs throughout the year, but those programs aren't determined 12 months in advance. I was hoping I'd be able to add a new entitlement each time a new program is scheduled. Pricing rules are restricting the number of tickets per order that get the discount, but they don't prevent someone from placing a second order and getting this discount again (usually because another person has decided to join their group, not because they're trying to be sneaky!).
