Hello Network!!
The California Academy of Sciences is in the process of searching for a ticket stock supplier. We use single-pass Boca printers with the 2" x 5.5" ticket format for both tickets and receipts. Who are y'all purchasing your ticket stock from? Any advice on ticket size and format? Has anyone found success sourcing a cost-effective sustainable solution using recycled paper, soy ink, etc?
Thank you all for any information you can provide.
Best,
Carl Lieber
Hi Carl,
I'm at The Historic New Orleans Collection and we order our ticket stock directly from Boca. I'd love to know if there are alternatives.
Anne
There are other options. Worldwide Ticket Craft, Globe Tickets and a Tessitura Conference Sponsor -- Weldon, Williams, & Lick (WWL)
I was always under the impression that using BOCA tickets would be more expensive since it was "name brand', but a while back I did a big sourcing project for my Finance Team and discovered that BOCA was right in line and most of the time a bit cheaper than the others. Be careful, some will really rip you off . Also, if you use BOCA printers, BOCA will replace print heads for free if you use their stock. Recently, we went to a rotating image, meaning that there was a pattern of four different ticket images so every four guests would get a different pattern - a cool change for us to do. BOCA was able to do that.
Good luck,
-Mark
Thanks, Mark. Very helpful. What size tickets are you using?
The same - 2" x 5.5". And, I believe BOCA has some recycled options, but not sure off the top of my head. louis@bocasystems.com is the main contact and a great & helpful guy. Tell him you are a Tessitura client and there is usually a discount, too.
