How are folks tracking geographic source for Walkup International Guests? In the case where you are not geting full addresses.
For example, you may use Surveys or Custom Fields for your counties postal codes on the General Public Account 0. But you have an international guest, not from your country. Is anyone keeping the country or continent from which the customer is coming from? If so how?
Hi Tom,
We're using the Order Survey functionality to capture US zip codes/states as well as international countries. It exports quite well, but requires a good bit of cleanup - some people might type in 'Spain', others 'ESP', etc.
Thanks,
Are you using a single field or multiples? (For example one for Postal Codes, the other for the country?)
Are you making this a required response? If so, what are staff doing if the customer refuses to provide the information?
Do you know if the surveys can take dropdowns to clean up the quality of the data entry?
It is a one-field, required response with no dropdown, so you can imagine the data cleanliness (or lack thereof). I believe a dropdown can be set up, but for us, I don't think that would be practical. Check out the TR_SURVEY_QUESTION table for more info!
