Hello again Network,
After receiving fantastic support and suggestions to my first post, I'm reaching out to the Network again.
We are now ten days into go-live and have started looking at our post-go-live wish list. At the top of this list is finding a solution to allow us to capture attendance counts for our 2 & Under guests. We currently do not require 2 & Under guests to get a ticket and would like to keep it that way. We can track 2 & Under guests who are visiting with a member using the "Other" field on the NSCAN. Is anyone tracking this type of unticketed attendance? If so, how are you doing it? If you're currently not tracking this would it be something you'd like to track?
Looking forward to some great responses.
Thank you in advance,
Carl
We (at Shedd Aquarium) have a script that searches for any scanned adult admission tickets, then marks any infant tickets in that order as printed and scanned. We don't issue them a physical ticket but we do put them in their order for the script to catch once the adults come in. Happy to email you the script if you'd like it!
Thanks, Amanda. Two questions. Do you allow guests to add these infant tickets when purchasing online? How do you track direct to gate third party tickets?
If we decide to do something along these lines we'll likely reach out for more information.
We do allow them to buy online, but we have a custom site which enforces co-sell restrictions so they have to have adult tickets in the cart (you could probably get creative with pricing rules if you're on TNEW). I'll have to get back to you on direct-to-gate. I'm new here so I'm not sure but I'll find out!
Thanks, Amanda!
Turns out we don't have any direct-to-gate tickets. They have to go through the line and redeem for Tessitura-issued tickets, partly because we have to book them into any add-ons and they will need a Tessitura ticket to use our kiosks to reserve a spot in the aquatic presentations.
