Hi MZA folks,
Do any of you offer a two-day pass for your attractions?
We are considering this here, most likely going ahead with it...I am just looking for some ideas on maybe how other places have set this up. A package? Price rule? Separate add-on performance?
Would love to hear any thoughts anyone has on this, thanks!

We offer a program called 'Validation', through which folks can come back for the 2nd and 3rd consecutive day; we have them sign the backs of the tickets, and we stamp them, then we have them re-sign on the second or third day. It does take some work operationally, but it works.Another way would be to offer a pricing rule, where if they buy one ticket for one day, they get that same ticket for a second day free (or something like that). It would take a bit of fiddling to get it right, and you'd have to think about how to set it up, but it could work in theory. Those are my thoughts at first pass!
Our General Admission tickets are good for 3 days across our 3 locations when a cusotmer pays the full suggested admission price. When a customer comes back they can show their ticket or receipt and the cashier reloads their original order. They then add tickets for the current day/location with a special free price type. This allows us to report on how many people are returning for additional visits and to ensure they are not using the same tickets multiple times.
Hi all! We are very new to Tessitura, in fact we are still in the midst of implementation. We have a pass product which is valid for a month and allows one visit to each of our 12 museums/historic houses. We are unsure of how to manage this in Tessitura, currently it is a printed card that is stamped at front of house when redeemed at each property. This visit is then marked as a comp visit statistic in our current ticketing system. We'd love to have something more like a card than a ticket (just purely because its more durable and likely to survive a month in someone's pocket). I'm very interested in hearing how others manage similar systems.
Thanks to those who answered! Appreciated the insight. We have decided to build a full on two day package that has 2 days of General Admission and 2 days of our Temp Gallery...so 4 'mandatory' performances per package and then one package built for every day. This way we get all the scanning and tracking we want. Also, there is a price rule that fires in the background that adjusts the price to what we need.
Hello! Are you still offering two day passes? How is it going with your setup? We're thinking of offering something like this. Thanks!
Hi Rebecca, we set up a Museum Double Day Pass as a package and relied heavily on the website to determine selection limitations. We don't currently offer this product as we have moved to a timed entry model and with the number of products we sell we feel this would create too many choices online. Let me know if you would like me to contact our digital team for some further intel on how this was created.
