Hello from your new Co-Chairs!

Hello University Tessitura Users!

I wanted to introduce myself and Andrew Metzroth as the new co-chairs of the Universities Tessitura Community Group.  We want you to learn a little more about us, but we also want to hear from YOU!  Please feel free to comment on this post and introduce yourself to the community!  We have also included a quick survey below—please fill it out at your earliest convenience so we can begin planning our community group meetups for 2022.  Help us get to know you better and share what you’d like to learn!

A little bit about me…I am the Arts Box Office Manager at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, VA (Go Hoos!).  I have been in this position since July, but previously used Tessitura for years as Box Office Manager at Spoleto Festival USA.  The UVA Arts Box Office serves all arts organizations on campus and affiliated groups such as the Charlottesville Symphony and Tuesday Evening Concert Series.  I love to read, listen to podcasts, and am currently learning to play pickleball!  I am looking forward to getting to know everyone while learning more about Tessitura during our meetups and through community discussion!

A little bit about Andrew… Hi everyone!  I’m excited to be reaching out as a community leader for the Universities Tessitura Community.  My name is Andrew Metzroth (most of my friends call me “Metz”), and I manage the Tessitura implementation at the University of Colorado at Boulder.  I like to describe our organizations setup as “a consortium without being a consortium); we manage ticketing and marketing efforts for several independent academic and professional arts organizations across our campus.  I’ve been working at CU for 15 years now, and I am extremely familiar with the advantages and frustrations of working for a large public university.  I look forward to sharing my experiences and learning from all of you!  In my spare time, I do freelance theater design, host a speculative fiction podcast, and spend time with my family in the Boulder area.  Please feel free to reach out with questions or comments about how we use Tessitura, CU in general, or about ideas for this community. I look forward to meeting you all.

Thank you all!
