Hi,
Is anyone using TRBO for ticket upgrades? Our exhibition is on the third floor, a long way from our ticket desk on the ground floor, so we are thinking of setting up TRBO for ticket upgrades outside the exhibition entrance. Has anyone got any experience of this? Did you create a new ticket type and MOS for this?
Any help appreciated!
Many thanks,
Siân
Haia Sian, we've used TRBO for ticket upgrades in the past. We've done it as a separate price type so we can report on how many upgrades take place, but done in the same MOS for that venue so the team can access it no issues. We use TRBO for most door sales on exhibition doors, and it works quite well - the only downside is no contact permissions, and the source code being set for all orders as default. Hope that helps - shout if you wanna chat more!
Thank you Kirsty, that's really helpful. Do you return their original ticket or leave that as it is?
We leave it as it is and just take the difference in price to upgrade - it worked for us as they had already paid for a tick pointing to the same GL code so the extra money went to the correct pot, but I suppose you could do it with price layers if you needed the income to go to a different place?
Thank you Kirsty. They would be to the same GL code so that should be fine, I was just thinking about it in terms of reporting and that we would be counting the person twice if we left the original tickets, but I expect it will be a relatively small number so should be fine.
Thanks again :)
