Tickets for Good

Hi Everyone,

Hope you're well and great to see some of you last week at the catch-up.

We are investigating the possibility of using Tickets For Good from the Ticket Bank as part of an Audience Development opportunity for full capacity shows later in the year.

I had a meeting with them last week  In short, they have two avenues in how they distribute tickets. 1) Is via partnerships such as NHS London, MIND, Age UK and others who they have partnered with. 2) The other is to issue tickets to "Social Subscribers" who issue tickets to help combat social isolation as a form medical remedy in communities. Currently they operate out of Sheffield but are expanding in London at this time, and I imagine some of you may also have been in contact with them. The details can be found here Ticket For Good on their website for those of you who havn't. They take a small fee but are issued the tickets by the venue for Free. They don't currently have an API with Tessitura but I wonder if this is something that others would find useful and if it is something as a bigger collective worth exploring if so? If anybody has any experience with them or is interested in what they do, I'd be keen to hear your thoughts.

Hope everyone is having a good start to the week, by gosh its warm in South London

Best,

James

  • Hello James.

Our outreach team would seek to develop relationships with organisations and communities themselves for this type of audience development.  Retaining the data for future opportunities and the possible migration of audiences that come to us via this route to being bookers in the standard sense. So although this is something that we would most likely want to keep in house here at the Liverpool Everyman and Playhouse, it's a great initiative, and if it suits your team at Sadler's Wells to achieve this via a relationship with Ticket Bank, I'd say it's definitely worth exploring.

    Thanks

    Brendan

It's not so warm up north, but then that's not really surprising :-)
