Extend Membership Expiry Date Utility & Payment Schedules

Hope you had a great Bank Holiday weekend!

Following the ticketing connections session, I wanted to follow up with a response to a question that was presented by Donald from Birmingham Hippodrome about the Extend Membership Expiry Date Utility.

Requirements

Donald was concerned that if they used the utility to extend the expiry date of their memberships, any payment schedules which are paid for by direct debit would not be amended accordingly.  They have some schemes which are annual memberships but paid for monthly.

If they extended the expiry date of these memberships and stopped processing direct debits for a few months, but the associated payment schedule remained unchanged, when they resumed collection of payment, the Pledge Billing utility would collect all of the payments that had been purposefully missed. 

Donald would like to utility to be able to amend the payment schedule, not just the expiry date.  This would reduce administrative time as well as human error.

We have escalated this to our development team and will get back to you with further responses as we begin to scope this out.
