2023 roadmaps

Hello and Happy New Year to you all! Hope everyone managed to have a nice relaxing break over Christmas, and you’re feeling rested and recharged and full of excitement for 2023.

I thought it might be interesting to find out what everyone is planning on going after this year. What do you want to build against Tessitura, what new things do you want to use it for, what are your wider aspirations for your customer and transactional data? Or are you all about V16 at the moment and don't have time to think about anything else?

From some of the conversations I’ve had over the last few months it feels like many of us are heading towards much the same goal but we’re at different points on our journeys, so I'm curious what people are prioritising and what itches you're looking to scratch. I'd also bet that someone else has already solved a few problems on your to-do list and would be happy to share their thinking with you, so it's always worth flagging the sorts of things you need help with - indeed that's one of the points of community groups like this one.

As you know Tate are still relatively new to Tessitura and I’m sure our roadmap will evolve over the coming months, but right now I think we have three main priorities: integrating our retail and catering systems with Tessitura, building a common set of dashboards for use across the organisation (which presents at least as much of a stakeholder management challenge as a technology one, of course), and selecting and integrating a case management tool. All of these feed into our wider ambition for Tessitura to give us a true single customer view, although I have yet to have the internal conversations about fundraising… maybe that’s one for 2024!

Any tips or advice on any of these would be very welcome and I'm always happy to buy coffees or lunches in exchange :)

In any case I’d be fascinated to know what's on everyone else's wishlist. Hope you all have a great first week back!

Happy new year, hope you had a good break too!

At Museum Wales, we're planning on completing our data migration and implementation of fundraising in the next few months which is the main focus right now, and like you guys, we're also looking at a centralised set of dashboards and integration with our EPOS system for membership recognition and stock management primarily. We're looking at the move to v16 (post data migration!) as well as customisations around visitor figures and how we track these converting in to paid-event/exhibition attendees. Later in the year we also have plans for rolling out within the Learning and Engagement teams, so there's no rest for the wicked!

We only went live last summer so I'm also just v keen to see a full years worth of data, and see how far we've come from thousands of spreadsheets and disparate systems!

Look forward to hearing more from everyone else too, and always keen to chat/catch up
