How do you do Access Ticketing?

Hello Everyone,

I want Somerset House to handle our access tickets better than we currently do. During Skate there was a need for us to have Access tickets and Wheelchair tickets alongside Companion tickets. I'm happy to keep this format for our exhibitions but I'm wondering what everyone else does? Is there a better way? How do you handle access ticketing?

Thank you,
Kyle

  • Hi Kyle,

With the caveat that this only works on V6 and the auxiliary version of the URL at present...

During Manchester Science Festival we were administering ticketing for abut 55 venues with very different FoH procedures for different access issues. We added an open text field to the auxiliary version of the booking page for each event asking people what their specific access needs were (if any).

This updated the 'Customer Service Issue Tracking' report and the Festival staff ran this regularly and updated the venues. If you were running for internal events this would be even easier as there's no relay to other organisations.

However, we're now working on having this field update the custom data tab in the order details screen too.

Drop we a line if you're interested in the "hows".

    Cheers,

    Chris
