Hi everyone
I want to create an embedded promo code link for an event for our mobile users, I can do this in TNEW by adding the &promo= to the PSDetail link but I can't find the right link to get it to work in TNMP it just loops back to the home page. Can this be done for TNMP? if so which page link do I use and do you still use &promo=?
Many thanks in advance!
Nicola
Hi Nicola,
Christopher Short with the Web Products Support Team here!
This is a fantastic question, and I hope I'm reading it correctly. Because TNEW will strip out the first promo code parameter prior to redirecting to TNMP, it is recommended to use a second, unique parameter for TNMP. For example, your URL should look like this: http://yoursite.com?promo=dance&< Redirect Promo Code Parameter>=dance
You can set your TNMP specific Redirect Promo Code Parameter in the Control Panel under TN Mobile Plus>>API Settings. Here is a link to the documentation that you might find helpful:
https://www.tessituranetwork.com/tn_mobile_plus_user_guide/Content/Topics/Configuration/API%20Settings%20Menu.htm
The section you're looking for will be towards the bottom, under "Redirect Promo Code Parameter". If you still find that you're having difficulties getting this functionality to work as expected please feel free to submit a TASK ticket in the Web Products workspace and we'll be happy to work with you to get this up and running!
Cheers!Christopher
Hi Nicola
We use promotnmp – however this is set in our Instant Encore API settings page.
From that page:
“TNEW Users: It is recommended to use a second parameter for TNMP. For example, your url should be likehttp://yoursite.com?promo=dance&promotnmp=dance and this setting would be promotnmp.”
