Good afternoon,
I'm curious how other organizations are managing their Accessible Seats in TNMP. We have a customization in place for our TNEW site that requires the patrons to verify that they require the functionality of the seats and let us know what, if any assistance will be needed on the night of the performance.
This customization then generates a CSI in their account that our FOH staff use to prep the hall for the evening.
In order to be compliant with the ADA we make sure we have a number of accessible seats available for Web/Mobile sales, but with out TNEW customization not firing for the Mobile solution we may have a resource management issue on our hands. Especially seeing how more and more web traffic is coming in the form of mobile devices as opposed to laptops and workstations.
Thanks!Short
Hey Short-
Great question and yes, you are correct that TNEW customizations don't work in TNMP. Having said that, TNMP does have built-in functionality for requesting accessible seats-- check out the link to "Request Accessible Seats" at the bottom of the seat selection screen. Seats requested in this manner will have the Special Request flag set.
And further down the road (think 2016) with TNEW v7 being mobile optimized, we anticipate that organizations will begin to be able to see their TNEW customizations work on mobile devices (but of course they may need to be modified for the mobile screen).
Hope this answers your questions, let us know if we can help further.
Steve
Thanks, Steve.
I wonder if we're not managing our accessible seats as efficiently as we could be. Currently we place holds on roughly 50% of our accessible seats. This allows us to remain in compliance with the ADA but helps to deter/prevent scalpers from buying up all of the accessible seats and re-selling them in the secondary market.
I had to run back to the documentation for TNEW to check but it still mentions that TNEW can't break hold codes, so we're planning to continue following up with patrons following these purchases.
Looking forward to additional flexibility, but happy to have the product selling tickets for us in the meantime!
Cheers!Short
