Mobile app vs mobile browser

Hi,

I have noticed on iOS devices , new TNMP contribution page is not visible in the app but visible in a browser.  Is there a way to push this upgrade into the mobile app?

Android app and mobile browser are in sync with the latest contribution page.

Thanks,

Sabina

  • Suzie, thank you very much. Now  I remember discussing  this issue at the conference a couple of summers ago …

    Thanks again,

    Sabina

    Hi Sabina,

Apple has a strange rule that in the iOS native app, you cannot accept donations. You must link out to a web page that opens in Safari to accept donations. TNMP automatically hides the donation option in the app, but allows it to show on the mobile site as to adhere to item 21, Charities and contributions, from the App Store Review Guidelines (found here)

21.1: Apps that include the ability to make donations to recognized charitable organizations must be free

21.2: The collection of charitable donations must be done via a web site in Safari or an SMS

    Thanks,

    Suzie
