TARGETED PRODUCTION RELEASE DATE: June 27, 2023
New Features
Support for Google Analytics 4: Introducing support for Google Analytics 4 (GA4) which can be configured using the TNEW Administration Site. Included in this release is support for the following GA4 events:
Page View: The Page Title and Page URL are provided with this event to GA4 when a user views any page on TNEW.
Purchase: Specific information about an order and the products purchased are provided when a user completes an order or completes a One-Page Giving transaction.
Important notes regarding this release:
It is your responsibility to ensure that the use of GA4 conforms with your organization’s privacy policy and local regulations regarding data privacy, storage and security.
As part of this release, Tessitura Network will automatically collect and store non-personally identifiable information from your TNEW site in specific circumstances. This data is aggregated for specific user behavior analysis and only collected on TNEW sites in the North American and Asia/Pacific regions. When only collected by Tessitura Network, a cookie is not placed in a user’s browser.
Small Enhancements
Credit Card Owner Name: The name entered by a user when entering their credit card information will now be displayed on the constituent’s Payments Page for the payment in Tessitura.
Enhanced Transaction Handling for Tessitura Merchant Services: For organizations using Tessitura Merchant Services, enhancements to transaction processing have been introduced to ensure orders are successfully created with valid payments, including:
When transitioning from another provider, payment plans can now be available during the cutover period.
The PspReference number style will now be consistent between payments in the Application and online.
Form field validation messages for required fields within the checkout survey will now display prior to the checkout survey form.
Additional address verification (AVS) is now available based on the country of a user’s address.
Priority for Forgot Password Emails: Forgot Password Emails will now be processed and sent with priority above all other types of emails.
Seat Server Status Information: The current number of active connections to the Tessitura Seat Server can now be viewed on the Administration Site homepage. This can be helpful in determining when to enable a Virtual Waiting Room during a particularly high volume on-sale event, virtual experience with digital content, or an unexpected publicity-generated surge in traffic.
Session Sharing Cookie Security: For organizations developing Session Sharing integrations on Test and Development sites, control over the SameSite header for TNEW cookies can now be managed in on the Customization Management page. The prior seven-day expiration of this setting has been removed.
Fixes to Reported Defects
Additional Items Page(s):
The incorrect time of performance when the date and time were displayed in the Heading.
Additional Items selected using date-based keywords may have displayed from the next day, not same day, if the associated performance time equivalent was the next day in Coordinated Universal Time (UTC).
Address Validation on the Payment Page: If constituent record had an address but does not have an address marked as primary, the address would appear as un-editable on the Update Account Page and could not be selected on the Shipping Page. The address can now be edited and selected, respectively.
Amount Fields for Contributions: When using a contribution individual page, contribution group page, or One-Page Giving page with an editable amount field displayed, a value entered using commas was incorrectly processed as a higher amount than entered.
Checkout Donations: When a user added a checkout donation on the Payment Page, the Order Confirmation Display Error Message previously displayed on the Confirmation Page.
Fixed Packages:
Zones that are disabled for a Price Type in a Fixed Package will no longer display as available for selection.
When the current date was outside of the starting or ending web publish dates for a performance in a Fixed Package, the package remained available and led to an error when added to the cart.
Flex Packages:
If any performance in a Flex Package had a Performance Date after the end date for the Mode of Sale for the Package, a user may have been unable to purchase the package.
Some performances did not appear on the Flex Package Selections page when the first mode of sale available was not yet active.
Invalid Source Numbers: The incorrect error message was returned if invalid non-source number promo code is entered.
Membership Overview Page:
Membership Benefits: When using Attendance Categories to set up a Membership Benefit that has a limit, the appropriate tokens will now display the sum of all attendance categories associated with the benefit on the Membership Overview page.
Renewal Message: When a member is in their upgrade period, the renewal message will no longer display.
Mobile Tickets: Several fixes for mobile tickets on the Upcoming Events and Confirmation pages:
The inheritance logic for the Mobile Tickets Available property was not working as expected. The "X Time before Event" and "Always Available" options can now be configured using the Performance Product Type editors.
The View Tickets button on the Payment Page may have shown as disabled when an event/item was sold as unseated or grouped.
Order Confirmation Emails:
Order Confirmation Emails failed to generate when a performance had not been edited in the Performance Product Editor.
For organizations using customized order confirmation emails, the customized HTML template can now be selected in the Emails component editor and sent when a customer completes an order.
For organizations using a copy of the Sample Order Confirmation (TNEW), the email may not have sent when selected in the Emails component editor when a customer completed an order.
Promo and Sources for Contributions: When a promo code has been applied to an order, the source code will now correctly be applied to contributions in the order.
Select-Your-Own-Seat Section Availability: When viewing a Select-Your-Own-Seat (SYOS) map on an Event/Item Detail page, an entire screen of seats may have appeared as unavailable if the screen ID had an ID also used to indicate Blackout seats.
Site Logs for Development Sites: The Site Logs page will now display logs for development sites.
