7.37.5 Deployed to all LIVE Sites

The 7.37.5 release has been deployed to TNEW Live Sites.

LIVE RELEASE DATE: September 1, 2020

For v7, fixes and enhancements were released including those outlined below. This is not a complete list. The full list of enhancements and fixes included in this update is published in the v7 release notes section of the v7 TN Express Web User Guide.

When setting up new features, enhancements to existing features, or making configuration changes, always test in your TEST environment prior to implementing in LIVE.

  • New Features

    • Digital Content: Performance Products can now be used to sell Digital Content such as embedded videos, live-streamed events, virtual tours, or invitation-only live events. These performances can be digital-only or hybrid in-person and digital experiences that can only be accessed by constituents who have purchased at least one seated and paid ticket for the performance. For more information about configuring Events or Items with Digital Content, please see the documentation in our help system. (Note: this feature requires Tessitura v15.1.13 or higher)

    • Country-Restricted Sale of Events/Items: With the release of Digital Content, you can configure specific Events or Items to only be available for sale to customers with a primary address in specific countries. When restricted for sale, customers will need to log in to or create an account prior to adding these Events or Items to their cart. (Note: this feature requires Tessitura v15.1.13 or higher)

    • Not-For-Sale Seat Icons: Specific held seats on your Select-Your-Own-Seat (SYOS) map can be configured to display differently from those available for sale. The new Not-For-Sale Seat icon is configurable for specific hold codes used by your organization to clearly indicate empty seats used for physical distancing to customers. (Note: Hold Codes configured as blackout hold codes can be used for Not-For-Sale Seats, but requires Tessitura v15.1.12+)

    • Dynamic Payment Method Filtering (Windcave): For organizations using Windcave third-party hosted payments, you will now be able to support filtering payment methods for an order based on products using the existing dynamic payment method table (LTR_TNEW_DYN_PAYMENT_METHOD). For more information about dynamic payment method filtering, please see the documentation in our help system.

  • Small enhancements

    • Account Navigation for Update Account and Interests Pages:

      • The Update Account and Interests Pages in the account section have been updated to display the left-hand navigation menu that is displayed on other account pages. To enable display of the left-hand navigation menu, please see the documentation in our help system.

    • Accessibility: We continue to make improvements to make TNEW more accessible. Included in this release are several updates:

      • Event/Item Details Page

        • Changes were made to screen reader-only labels and attributes including performance detail information, additional events, zone selection and price type selection area.

        • In support of WCAG 2.1 AA for users with cognitive disabilities, the default field label property values for special seat request form fields and the values for the aisle location preference drop down have been changed. If you have customized the values of these field labels or options, those changes will not be affected.

      • The alternative text (Alt text) field for the promo code input field has been deprecated. The "Promo Code Field Alt Text" property has been removed from the Utility Navigation component.

      • In the address forms, if a state does not have a description (typically when a null value is passed in), it will no longer display in the drop down.

  • Fixes to reported defects

    • Windcave Test Settings Button:

      • For organizations using Windcave third-party hosted payments, when configuring or changing settings in the TNEW Administration Site, the “Test Settings” button may have reported an error when settings were otherwise correct.

    • Windcave Small Transaction Amounts:

      • For organizations using Windcave third party hosted payments, small transactions under under $1 or £1 were previously failing to be authorized and saved as they were being processed as validation transactions.

    • Transaction Timeout Length:

      • Previously, when prompted for payment information, if a constituent took more that five minutes to complete the transaction, the transaction would result in an error. This timeout has been lengthened to 10 minutes for all payment providers and the legacy TNEW payment form.

    • Payments with Single Payment Method:

      • Payments were failing for organizations not using specific payment method recording with only one payment method available to the TNEW user group (such as the TNEW Generic Hosted Payment Method) using the mnemonic of HOSTED.

    • Clear Cache Button:

      • The "Clear Cache" button on the home page of the TNEW admin site was inconsistently erroring out depending on the value of a specific configuration field.

    • Form Fields Component:

      • Saving changes in the Form Fields component was inconsistently not being saved. This has been resolved.

    • One-Page Giving Promotion and Source Codes:

      • Using a Source Number in a query string for One-Page Giving pages (?promo=) was not working when the query string used the exact source number and not a text-based promotion code from TR_WEB_SOURCE_NO. This has been resolved and source numbers can now be used for One-Page Giving page query strings.
