7.36.0 Deployed to all TEST Sites - SPECIAL RELEASE - SEE RELEASE NOTES

The 7.36.0 release has been deployed to all TNEW Test Sites. 

IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT THIS RELEASE: 
This 7.36.0 release is very unique in that it includes tools that will allow us to proactively analyze recent RESTification efforts before the REST updates themselves are implemented in the application.
While we work towards completing the 7.35.0 release, we want to take advantage of this opportunity to allow 7.36.0 to run on TEST sites until we are ready to release 7.35.0.
This 7.36.0 release will NOT be going out to LIVE sites at this time - only to TEST sites. 

TARGET LIVE RELEASE DATE: To Be Determined

For v7, fixes and enhancements were released including those outlined below. This is not a complete list. The full list of enhancements and fixes included in this update is published in the v7 release notes section of the v7 TN Express Web User Guide. 

• New Features
  • Windcave - Dynamic Payment Method Filtering: You will now be able to support filtering payment methods available for a transaction based on product for Windcave hosted payments using the existing dynamic payment method table. Please note that to enable this feature, you will need to review and configure your account type and payment method settings in test first. It is very important that you test this feature on your TNEW site before enabling this feature in live. Please see the documentation for this feature in our help system. 
• Small Enhancements
  • Accessibility Updates: 
    • Event/Item Details Page
      • Changes were made to screenreader-only labels and attributes including performance detail information, additional events, zone selection and price type selection area. (15767)
      • In support of WCAG 2.1 AA cognitive disabilities, the default values for the field labels for special seat request form fields and the values for the Aisle Location Preference drop down have been changed. If you have customized the values of these field labels or options, those changes will not be affected. (17031)
    • The alt text field for the promo code input field has been deprecated. The "Promo Code Field Alt Text" property has been removed from the Utility Navigation component. (21800)
    • In the address forms, if a city or state does not have a label (typically when a null value is passed in), it will no longer display in the drop down. (21803)
  • REST Updates: We continue to update the TNEW Cart and TNEW services as part of our transition from SOAP to REST.
    • We added method to validate the REST version of the Cart call in preparation for updating TNEW to use REST for creating cart.
    • In addition, the changes we made in this release will require that the REST Cart is engaged if you have the payment plan feature enabled. For those already using payment plans, we will be enabling the REST Cart for you as part of our release. For those who enable payment plans after this release, the REST Cart will be automatically enabled for you. 
  • Configuration API component: The recently released "Configuration API" component in the component editor will no longer be available for editing. If you need to have TNEW updated with new API URLs, Credentials, etc., please continue to contact our support team to make those updates. 
    
  • TNEW Hosted Payments: We made slight adjustments to configuration file in support of the cloud migration project. 
• Fixes to reported defects:
  
  • Clear Cache Button:
    • The "Clear Cache" button on the home page of the TNEW admin site was inconsistently erroring out depending on the value of a specific configuration field. 
  • Form Fields Component:
    • Saving changes in the Form Fields component works again. 
  • Windcave Hosted Payments:
    • The "Test Settings" option on the Windcave hosted payment pages within the TNEW Admin site no longer displays an error message even if the settings and credentials were valid. 

IMPORTANT MESSAGE for members who have not yet upgraded to 15.0.x or 15.1.x:

• If you are not on Tessitura version 15.0.x or 15.1.x, your TNEW instance did not receive this release. As part of testing during the upgrade process to 15.0.x or 15.1.x, you should ensure that the latest release of TNEW has been applied to your TEST site and review any new features or functionality that has been added to TNEW since version 7.25.5. To confirm which version of Tessitura (and/or TNEW) you are running, go to the home page of the TNEW Admin site. The version numbers are located at the top of the page in red. 
• If you are self-hosted, after you upgrade to 15.x of Tessitura, you will need to contact us to manually deploy the latest release of TNEW first to your TEST environment for you to review and then, when you are ready, to your LIVE environment. You will also need to request that our support team re-migrates the properties xml file into the new cloud environment. 
• If you subscribe to the waiting room service Queue-It, you will need to review your "Waiting Room" settings in the "Site Setup" section of TNEW Admin as part of your upgrade.
