v7.30.0 Deployed to all LIVE sites

The 7.30.0 release has been deployed to all TNEW LIVE Sites.

IMPORTANT MESSAGE for members who have not yet upgraded to 15.0.x or 15.1.x:

  • If you are not on Tessitura version 15.0.x or 15.1.x, your TNEW instance did not receive this release. As part of testing during the upgrade process to 15.0.x or 15.1.x, you should ensure that the latest release of TNEW has been applied to your TEST site and review any new features or functionality that has been added to TNEW since version 7.25.3. To confirm which version of Tessitura (and/or TNEW) you are running, go to the home page of the TNEW Admin site. The version numbers are located at the top of the page in red.
  • If you are self-hosted, after you upgrade to 15.x of Tessitura, you will need to contact us to manually deploy the latest release of TNEW first to your TEST environment for you to review and then, when you are ready, to your LIVE environment.
  • If you subscribe to the waiting room service Queue-It, you will need to review your "Waiting Room" settings in the "Site Setup" section of TNEW Admin as part of your upgrade.

For v7, fixes and enhancements were released including those outlined below. This is not a complete list. The full list of enhancements and fixes included in this update is published in the v7 release notes section of the v7 TN Express Web User Guide.

  • Small Enhancements
    • WorldPay Hosted Payments: Worldpay hosted payments path has been optimized in order to better handle situations caused by end-users navigating away during the process so that we can check status of transaction, ensure correct session and void the transaction when necessary to avoid double charging.
    • Synchronization of TNEW product type editor and product editor data: Up until this release, in order for TNEW Admin to synchronize with updated product type and product data, you would need to manually go into those editors to sync the two systems. The synchronization is now triggered by the clear cache button so you only have to clear cache after making changes in Tessitura and TNEW will sync the product type editor and product editor data at that time as part of that process.
    • Accessibility: The seat map modal window on the events/detail page has been updated to use the accessibility-friendly version of our modals.

  • Fixes to reported defects:
    • SYOS Seat Maps: SYOS Area maps were displaying an outline of the image map when in focus within the browser. This has been fixed so that the image map is not outlined if section is within focus of the browser.
    • Production Season URL Slugs: If the production season has a customized URL slug, an attempt to view the production season overview page using the production season id instead of the slug resulted in a redirect to the Listing/Calendar page. This has been fixed so that the using a URL with production season id redirects correctly to the URL with the slug.
    • Guest Checkout: Foreign Address HABO restriction was not being handled properly in guest checkout. If user has foreign address and the MOS requires HABO for foreign addresses, a HABO for Foreign Address message now displays on guest checkout delivery method area which prevents customer from submitting a non-domestic shipping address.
    • Payment Plans: Inactive rows within the TR_BILLING_SCHEDULE were being returned and displayed in the payment plan path. This has been fixed. Only active rows from TR_BILLING_SCHEDULE are now available.
    • Gift Certificate Redemption: The format of a gift certificate was being validated to ensure that the gift certificate number's first 8 characters were in the XXXX-XXX format. This was causing organizations with gift certificate numbers in different formats (like XXXX-X) to error out upon redemption on TNEW's payment page. This has been fixed and the format validation has been removed.
    • MOS Conflict Messaging in Cart: If there is a MOS conflict on the cart page, a MOS error message displays. However, within that message, the link to remove the items in your cart was not working and the MOS error message would then display twice. This has been fixed.
    • Pricing Rule Messages for Package Listing Page: If a pricing rule message was configured to display on the package listing page if appropriate item was in the cart, the pricing rule message was displaying on the package selections page but not on the package listing page. This has been fixed and the pricing rule message displays on the package listing page.
    • Google Analytics: Google Analytics ecommerce data was being triggered every time the receipt page was loaded or refreshed. This was causing over-reporting of transaction data in Google. This has been fixed.
    • Excluded Price Types Select List: Exclude Price Types properties in TNEW editors were displaying inactive price types. This has been fixed so inactive price types no longer display as an option.
    • Error Message for Contiguous Seats in Packages: If zone has enough quantity of seats but, for instance, they are not contiguous (but have to be), a raw exception error was displaying to the end-user instead of the "Fixed Package Reservation Error Message" message. This has been fixed so now the user-friendly version of the error displays.
    • Additional Events: The events/detail page was only displaying one year's worth of additional events even though there were events available beyond a year and TNEW was configured with a maximum date range that was longer than 1 year. This has been fixed so now the additional events list displays the same performances as the listing/calendar and overview pages based on the maximum date range setting.
