V7.28.0 Deployed to all LIVE Sites

The 7.28.0 release has been deployed to all TNEW Live Sites.

IMPORTANT MESSAGE for members who have not yet upgraded to 15.0.x or 15.1.x: If you are not on Tessitura version 15.0.x or 15.1.x, your TNEW instance did not receive this release. As part of testing during the upgrade process to 15.0.x or 15.1.x, you should ensure that the latest release of TNEW has been applied to your TEST site and review any new features or functionality that has been added to TNEW since version 7.25.2. To confirm which version of Tessitura (and/or TNEW) you are running, go to the home page of the TNEW Admin site. The version numbers are located at the top of the page in red. If you are self-hosted, after you upgrade to 15.x of Tessitura, you will need to contact us to manually deploy the latest release of TNEW first to your TEST environment for you to review and then, when you are ready, to your LIVE environment. 

For v6 & v7, a new feature and an update to site admin were released.

• Apple Pay via WindCave (aka Payment Express): TNEW now supports Apple Pay via Windcave's hosted payments solution. Please see our help system's document for details.
• Hosted Payments Admin: The "Hosted Payments" page in TNEW Admin has been updated to reflect changes in the names of the hosted payment providers: Payment Express has been changed to WindCave and Vantiv has been changed to WorldPay.

For v7, additional fixes and enhancements were released including those outlined below. This is not a complete list. The full list of enhancements and fixes included in this update is published in the v7 release notes section of the v7 TN Express Web User Guide. 

• Features
  
  • TNEW Property Sync: Properties that are administered in the TNEW Admin's Product Editor can now be synchronized with Tessitura as web content fields. Please see our help system's documentation for more details. 
    • IMPORTANT message for members who are self-hosted: In order to use the new product sync service, you will need to open up your firewall to additional IP Addresses. Please see the help system documentation and/or message on the new "Property Synchronization" page under "Site Data" in the TNEW Admin for details. 
      
    • Tessitura Version Requirements: The property sync service requires 15.0.8+ or 15.1.1+
      
      
• Small Enhancements
  • Listing View of Events Page & Overview Page: The ability to control whether performance titles appear on the listing view of the events page or on the overview page has been resurrected. These can be updated using "Listing Performance Titles Displayed" from a global level in the "Listing/Calendar Display" component and at the production season/performance level in the Product Editor.
    
  • Performance: The Calendar page has been optimized to retrieve availability data for performances more efficiently. 
    

  • Logging: Logging has been added to identify TNEW sites with invalid REST credentials as incorrect REST Credentials can cause some TNEW functionality and features to not work correctly.
    
    

• Fixes to reported defects:
  
  • Memberships: When attempting to add more than one membership of the same membership organization on TNEW, the user is no longer being redirected to an error page instead of receiving the "Multiple Memberships Not Allowed Error Message". 
  • Guest Checkout: 
    • When using guest checkout with only a contribution in the cart, the State/Province dropdown now filters by country.
    • When purchasing a membership as a guest, the guest checkout page no longer redirects to error page if required field was not populated. The required field should now validate the field correctly and display validation error message.
  • Create Account Page: If a required field was not populated before submission of create account form, customizations and/or plugs are not triggering without having to reload the page. 
  • Calendar: In certain scenarios, performances were not appearing on the default (unfiltered) view of the calendar at the time they were scheduled to be onsale. This has been fixed. 
  • Logging: Warning log entries in TNEW no longer record password values in TNEW Logs.
