Hello All!
I have an organization that requested the functionality to "buy your ticket and then buy one for another, the theatre will give it to a patron unable to afford a ticket" with the suggested price being $20 as they have choose your own pricing. So buy one ticket buy another ticket for donation.
Any ideas on how to accomplish this in both Tessitura and TNew?

Like Chelsea, I'm glad when my issues can help someone else (other than my therapist into early retirement).
Also threads blowing up helps "big sibling" identify community needs and unveil features like PWYW and the cancellation utility

I found an already existing idea, but the link is broken. Nevermind -- after I pasted the URL I realized that Internal Ideas (yes, there's an internal ideas board that was accidentally public for a bit) are showing up in search results. I'm tagging Meredith Woolard (she/her) and Chris Wallingford who've been working on the function of the Ideas Board/Communities pages. Strange request: can we see the internal idea so we can paste a version for the user's idea board?
This thread is officially now out-of-hand. My silliest of apologies to everyone's inboxes -- AND on a holiday weekend. Unconscionable!!! Forgive me!!!!I have an update! The client didn't like my proposed solution, so Michael Vlassis gave me the BRILLIANT idea to use non-editable price types that make it feel like they're "Choose Your Own". Plus, I left a truly Choose Your Own option, however, as we now know, the message rules won't work on that price. Because of this, I also put the link to the dummy perf in the Performace Details for Cart section. Certainly not perfect, but I hope it'll do. I'm tired, it's Friday, and I give up until next week!
This looks great! I am going to keep this whole thread on the back burner for if/when we want to add ours Pay It Forward to TNEW.
But...I am very excited to say, we had our first redemption today!! We've sold 4 so far (we just started this month), and our first one got redeemed this afternoon!!

Internal Ideas are our way of segmenting staff ideas, votes and comments from those of the Community members. It was an unintentional side effect of the recent website upgrade that internal ideas appeared in your search results. Thank you for mentioning it. I hope to fix it to the expected behavior from prior to the website upgrade.
