Hi, all! My name is Lindsey Whitfield. I am the Box Office Manager at the Peace Center in Greenville, SC. I've been with the Peace Center for seven years and during that tenure I've worked in both the box office and development departments and assisted both departments in our conversion to Tessitura in July 2021. These days, I oversee a team of about twenty and manage their training and continue education, assist with event builds, and manage most of the organizations reporting through lists, extractions (because we haven't upgraded to 16 yet!), reports, and my personal favorite, analytics. I am thrilled to be co-chairing this group with Shannon!
Hello, Friends! My name is Shannon Hurst and I am currently the Ticket Operations Specialist at Ruth Eckerd Hall in Clearwater, FL, where I am responsible for building events, managing Platinum, VIP, and Fan Club seats and settlements, and coordinating and settling VIP programs. I was most recently the Box Office Supervisor at the Central Park Performing Arts Center in Largo, FL where I was responsible for all Box Office operations, customer service, staff, training, inventory, equipment, regulatory requirements, event builds, and financial reporting, volunteer management and administration, website administration, marketing communications, and strategic planning. I received an MA in Theatre & Performance Research and BAs in both Music and English Literature from Florida State University, and continue to work as both a freelance dramaturg and musician. I have coincidentally served as a community moderator/system administrator for several websites, and am honored to serve in a similar capacity to cultivate what is sure to be a vibrant and engaging community at Tessitura!
We both can't wait to officially get this group off the ground. To get us started, we'll be posting a Community Interest Survey here tomorrow to collect your interests and insights in the ways we can grow this community in a way that is useful, interesting, and inspiring to all of you.
In the meantime, we'd love for our members to begin introducing themselves in this thread below and letting us know your thoughts, comments, questions, or anything else you'd like to share!
