Group Ticket

Hi,

we are interested in having a single ticket for group bookings.

Currently each ticket gets it's own PDF, so large bookings create large PDFs.

I believe some organisations use Composite Tickets for these, but as far as I can tell these are intended for Packages.

Does anyone currently use these for Group tickets, or have another solution in place?

  • We shifted to using a minimalist PDF for group tickets (87 kb), as well as sending along a Group Header for Reservations-Mode of Sale tickets. That seems to help! There will always be a maximum number of tickets that can be sent in an email due to size constraints, but this has cut way down on undelivered emails.

  • Since groups can be scanned in by the order number, my immediate thought would be to use a merge template (for printing on paper), or a special header template (for printing from a BOCA), and to null print the individual tickets. That should allow you to print one "ticket". I believe if you turn the order number into a barcode in the BOCA template, you can scan instead of type in the order number.
