Being in DC this year we have an advantage of having a large number of Tessitura users in close proximity. Hopefully this translates into access to gear that we don’t need to rent, and gear that is better than what we can rent. I am hoping this thread will be the start of a listing of all of the items we need as well as have available. We always need vocal and instrument mics, guitar and bass amps as well as a drum kit (or two?). Wouldn’t it be great to have some wireless gear?
I have the following gear... Let me know if any will be of use:
- Bass amp (ThunderFunk)- Keyboard (Kurzweil PC361 61-key synthesizer)- Four basses (all Warwicks; 2 x 4 stringers, 1 x 5 string, 1x 6 string fretless)- Heritage 555 six-string guitar (Hollowbody electric guitar, very similiar to a Gibson ES355)- Taylor Acoustic (no built-in pickup though)- One wireless unit (Line6 X2 XDS Wireless)- Some stomp box effects (Diamond Memory Man 2, BK Butler Tube Overdrive, Empress Chorus, TWA Little Dipper Auto-Filter, EHX Electric Mistress)
I may also be able to get:
- 5 pc drum set (Pearl Export) w/ cymbals and snare- Either a Line6 guitar amplifier or a Fender guitar amp
Kevin
Wow - what a start
I will be bringing my usuall Strat and Boss ME-50. Anything more than that is pretty hard for me to transport on a plane.
On a side note: how do you like the Line6 X2 XDS wireless? I am thinking of one myself.
Nice! The Boss ME-50 is a pretty cool unit.
The X2 is really nice... This one has a range of 100 feet, which is plenty for the gigs I play (small clubs and basements). The transmitter is light enough to not be noticable and the signal quality has been really good.
You better keep that Taylor away from me...it may magically run away to come and live in Winnipeg! LOL
Kevin. It'd be great if you'd kindly let me use one of your four stringers for the evening. I love not to have to lug my axe down.
Jen, you know that Taylor wouldn't make it back to Wpg. United breaks Taylors. Even stolen ones.
That is exactly why I am not bringing my Tak down. They lost it in Tucson and now they have stepped up to breaking them. At least with my Strat they are still letting me put it in the overhead (but for how long)
I was toying with the idea of brining the Dimebag Dean that I bought in San Antonio last year, but that thing is just too damned huge.
Hey Brian, no problem there.
