Queue-It and Windcave

Hi! For those that use Queue-It for their virtual waiting rooms and Windcave as their merchant processor, do you find many TNEW transactions going through in Windcave but not going through in Tessitura? We seem to have this issue on busy sales days, and we're wondering if any other organizations have a solution. Any info would be greatly appreciated!

  • Hey - how are you? Sorry I missed to repeatedly at Orlando.

    We had this a lot up until end of last year.  There were a couple of issues but none that directly involved Queue-it and we are on a Sitecore/Cloudflare website.  The config of Queue-IT and Cloud flare did give us a bunch of trouble.  But the cart timeout issue when returning the transaction from Wind Cave authorisation was a coding one, where the timer on the cart would get rewritten (incorrectly) as it was passed to WC, then we'd lose the cart and presto - transaction in WC not Tessitura.  We have corrected that and also implemented a preauthorisation now so that both Tessitura and WC need to confirm prior to finalising the transaction - else they fallback. It's a pain though but better than the numerous issues we were faced with.

    So good to hear from you! I'm sorry we missed each other at the conference as well.

    This is very helpful information. How did you start this conversation? Was it with Tessitura first and then Windcave? It would be nice if Tessitura and Windcave could share that info with other clients and implement a fix for this issue.

  • With my therapist. 

    It was pretty much entirely our website rather than either of them.  In our case Tessitura and WindCave were solid.  But both, especially Tessitura, helped us investigate some finer points of our troubles.

    The conversation was with our on-staff Web Developer and based on Box Office recording customer feedback when they were solving, and we were rebuilding timed out carts so we could see where they got to.  

    The preauth came from a friend and consultant who was developing that code for another larger org.
