Windcave / Tessitura Unique ID

Hello all,

As discussed on the meeting today, I thought I would post the Unique ID between Windcave and Tessitura that we found to be critical in helping narrow down some of our reconciliation challenges in the past. I have no idea if this is helpful for anyone, but just in case you want to try it out and see if everything on your side is set up the same way as ours, here are instructions to find it:

  • The number we have now located in Windcave which can be used as a unique ID that is passed through to Tessitura is called “TransactionID” when you are looking at a given transaction in the Transaction search interface on Windcave. Once you select a transaction it is the first field on the first tab of the transaction detail screen. There is also a box in the upper right corner to search by this number on the web interface.
  • In the report output for Windcave, the column header and field on the csv/excel file are labelled as “DPSTXNRef” rather than TransactionID, so if you're looking at this way, that's the column you want to focus on.
  • In Tessitura that number is used to search by entering into the Order Search screen, selecting payment, and choosing “Processor reference number”. The number must be entered with all zeros at the beginning and the field does not appear to be case sensitive.

For future reference when trying to connect transactions between the two, this number seems to be the better one to use rather than Auth Code, which was a mistake we made for a number of months after we first went live!

Hope this is helpful. Let me know if you have any questions!
