We do not have a training department and rely on tenured staff to provide training. This process requires change and improvement; we hope to learn from others.
How do other organizations train new hires on how to use Tessitura?
In the past, we investigated some online tools that provide self-paced training. These tools save staff time and allow new hires to review information, take quizzes, and familiarize themselves with the processes specific to their expertise.
Thanks so much!Susan
Hi Susan! We use Microsoft Teams at our organization (PBS/NPR/AAA-music/classical music station KERA in Dallas), and I created a Planner board (a KanBan type board) and loaded in all of our onboarding activities, e.g., HR related tasks, 30-minute meetings with stack leads across the organization to learn about their team’s work/product, shadow activities with a tenured team member and self-paced Tessitura training links.
When we last hired a new-to-Tess employee, we registered them for the Tessitura Fundamentals course for fundraising. Our most recent hire is an experienced Tess user, so training has been mostly focused on KERA-specific training.

Hi there, This sounds amazing!!!! I appreciate this share so much. Will get with my team and review and of course come back with questions.
Thank you for sharing this, Katie! (And for asking, Susan!)
