Hi all!
Does anyone have examples of new user onboarding rubrics? I think it'd be helpful to develop something like a basic user rubric, power user rubric, etc. while onboarding so that common goals are clear from the beginning. Has anyone done this? Any additional comments welcome!
Kristin
Hi Kristin - I sort of do. There is a basic onboarding that we do to make sure people can log in, access trainings, and know the basics (searching for records and how to navigate through them) so they don't have to complete the trainings before being able to do any work with Tess. We generally set up a training plan depending on the user's job description and have a general time frame they should complete it by. I also schedule out check ins once per week for a month from our onboarding so they can ask questions between doing the trainings.
I also do a monthly-ish continuing education program that goes over difficult concepts or things that the org needs a refresher on (lists/extractions, memberships, analytics, etc). That is on the way towards being fleshed out as a power user certification program with basic requirements. Anyone who wants the privilege's of being a power user need to be able to complete those goals and demonstrate competence in their core function/training track.
Happy to answer any questions if you have them.
