Does anyone know I how could get a list of folks who gave over a certain amount in a given fiscal year? This list has to include one-time gifts and cumulative giving. Coming up with a list of folks who gave one gift over my threshold is easily done in List Manager. I just can't seem to figure out how to get folks who gave over my threshold with multiple gifts within the fiscal year.
I'm no good at Analytics. I can manipulate dashboards others have created for me, but I don't know where to begin with creating my own.
I use the Total Giving criteria and output elements in List Manager. When you add Total Giving to your criteria, the other giving criteria acts as a filter. So let's say you want people who have given $25,000 or more to the annual fund. You would put in whatever criteria is relevant, like date range and fund. Then add Total Giving as >= $25,000. The system will identify only those people who gave that total amount within the date range to that fund. It will NOT give you people whose giving to other areas is more than $25K. Then you can put the same element into your output set to see the individual totals. The total giving output element will filter separately from the contribution fields, so whatever you put in the contribution filters, you should repeat in the total filter.
In our consortium, we also have the Total Giving list element and it works well.
One thing to keep in mind for Analytics, if you are on V15, soft credits won't be applied to the individual donor. (Soft credits do appear in V16.)
