Hello everyone!
Has anyone here had success in pulling a list of donors who have given consistently over the past 5-10 years? For some reason I can't get the list parameters correct for something like this to show up. If anyone has any advice regarding this, I'd definitely appreciate it!
If you are looking just to find donors who have given in consecutive years without missing any, you can run a list in list manager with the criteria being something like this:
This can also be done in analytics. One of our DBAs set up a dashboard that tracks consecutive years giving. I will admit, that I have not dug into this dash very much, but you could play with it if you want. Here is the dash file:
consecutive-years-of-givingCOPY1.dash
I should mention that in the list criteria I just sent you, you must use HAS and not IN with the campaigns. Anytime you are using the same criteria set more than once, use HAS.
That is really helpful, thank you Chris!
This dashboard is really slick! I am preparing a lapsed donor push and this is going to be super helpful Thanks so much!
Love those dashboards! I use a similar list method at The Shed to search for year-over-year members, but due to the grace period following expiration and to account for the fact that some folks might renew early (a member/donor could make an initial gift in January '21, get their first notice/renew in October of '21, and still be active all through 2022 without a gift) I include two fiscal campaigns per line:
If you're booking early gifts into future campaigns, though, this wouldn't be necessary.
EDITED to share that the second line is odd-looking to account for covid-extension wackiness!
