We are revisiting our prospect tracking and reporting at my org. I am curious to know if/how you have connected elements from Plans into Tess Dashboards; especially information on counts (# of plans, # of plans in a given status, etc.) are used. I am new to Analytics and am exploring possibilities, so all uses as well as resource recommendations are welcome. (I have already done the self-paced course in Analytics offered by Tessitura online.) Thanks in advance!
So many things you can do, it's hard to know where to start! One thought is tracking how many steps (or types of steps) were completed within a time frame (in the last week or last month) and noting which prospects have had recent touches (and who hasn't and may need one). Also tracking metrics of steps being completed by gift officers/workers. But there are really a lot of possibilities!
If you haven't already, you can check out the pre-existing Tessitura built dashboard in Analytics that show examples of how you could use each data set. If you duplicate a dashboard (or individual widget) you get editing access to your duplication and can go into the back end to better understand the mechanics of it.
Hi Colleen! Thanks for your response! What I'd be most interested in are the mechanics behind connecting the information from Plans to my Dashboard. When I search in the data browser, I can never find anything related to Plans. Maybe that's something that needs to be fixed on the back end that my IT team can help me with, but I didn't know if I was missing something obvious!

You need to make sure your dashboard is pointing to your Plans cube. If you can't see it, then you need to be given rights in security to access it in Analytics

My organization (KERA, public media station) has a good Plans dashboard created by Jordan Edwards. What is the best way to get it to you? I've exported the Plans .dash already. Maybe by email?

Depending on how you use your plans- you can also use the Dashboards to do some forecasting. We use the GOAL amount as what we truly think we'll get from a donor- so I made a quick equation that adds the GOAL for any open plan connected to a specific campaign and the CONTRIBUTION amount for any paid plan to come up with a current projection. Then, we can measure the difference between our goal and the projection to display how much money we still need to find.
I do also keep track of Steps in a time frame- like Colleen mentioned.
