Hi Everyone,
I am a relatively new Tessitura user (my org switched less than a year ago), and one of my biggest frustrations right now is that I feel there are a lot of things that could be automated but aren't. The particular frustration right now is around gifts coming in over certain thresholds and that we can not easily fully automate adding plan steps or tasks related to these gifts. For example, any gift over $5k gets a thank-you call. Currently, we use the plan maintenance tool to add this as a step into multiple donors' plans. However, it still requires a person to go in and make a manual update. We also want to add general reminders not tied to plans or CSIs based on certain criteria, giving anniversary, first donation, etc. but don't want to do these on an individual basis.
Does anyone have suggestions on resources or suggestions any sort of automations that we can easily implement to help streamline our development operations?
I think this is especially frustrating for me because I have an extensive background in Salesforce, where I could easily set up automation without any coding. Words of encouragement that using Tessitura will get easier as well!
Hello Paige! This is Yessenia with Tessitura Network Support. We’re happy to assist you with this inquiry. I’ve created a Support ticket where we’ll work with you to find a resolution to this concern. We’ll also relay our findings from that ticket in this forum post, but if you have any other questions or concerns in the meanwhile please let us know.
Hi Paige, just wanted to say you're not alone. I started at a new organization this year and Tessitura is new to me too. It has been frustrating not having the ability to automate as you mentioned. I haven't found anything for automation but as I continue using Tessitura, I am learning how to navigate it with more ease and will share if I find something useful. I hope you're able to find a solution! Good luck!
Interested in this as well, since I do Plan Maintenance myself...
We continuously run into this problem as well. The closest we have gotten is using plans maintenance for those steps, sometimes adding post step in mass. We also have lists based on new or other criteria linked to various reports (new contributions, ticket etc.) on an email schedule to keep gift officers informed. Still means adding steps later, but at least we have an auto-update on actions.
If you find any useful solutions, would love to hear about them!
