We are finally moving towards sending membership renewal notices by emails via WordFly. I set up a list in List Manager to pull everyone who is expiring at the end of the month, but then I went to set up a list of all those who are three months expired and it is pulling everyone with an expiration date three months ago, even if they have renewed and are current. I tried using a "NOT IN" criteria for Membership Status of Active, but that didn't kick anyone out. For others who have this set up, do you set up as an Extraction so you can suppress people and then have to schedule the Extraction to rerun every month? It seems like there should be a more automatic way of doing this that I'm just missing (please excuse the post-conference covid fog!). Thanks!

I'm only skimming not thinking, Anne (hm, covid recovery brain choices?), but I can offer one tip that is certainly not a precise solution but could maybe unlock something for you:I run most of our automated campaigns into dedicated Appeals for the season/fiscal year, and then, for applicable recurring campaigns, suppress records with a promotion within that Appeal. This is a way of avoiding repeat sends without having to get too involved with fussier qualifying criteria.
It may not apply here--and I do feel like manual campaigns and Extractions may be worthwhile just to keep a good eye on things, and monthly isn't too bad as a project frequency--but it's an alternative way in perhaps.
One of the many things that will be improved by the updated criteria in v16! In the meantime, there is a "Membership Current" criteria folder in List Manager that you can use. I use Membership Current Level does not have ____ (fill in all possible levels) to prevent the list of past-expired members from also pulling those who did renew.

I think if you use Does Not Have instead of Not In, it will remove the current memberships.
An alternative would be to have a list of any current/pending memberships and then use that list as criteria to suppress renewed/renewing memberships.

Hi TC, Thank you! I think you have solved my problem. I'm going to spot check my lists to make sure, but it looks like this does exactly what I need and will allow me to just set this up to run without having to update each month.
