Hi everyone!
We are currently using an outside CRM system called Media 4 Artists to track our Dance Academy's student enrollment, registrations, auditions, etc. and would like to find a way to sync the data from this system to Tessitura. We don't necessarily need the children's records synced, but we have a large group of adult class students who should be in Tessitura and we also are looking to mark existing Tessitura records as parents of students so that we can better understand that subset of patrons/volunteers/donors/etc. Does anyone else have a similar setup or similar data needs? What solutions or ideas do you have?
One very remedial idea we had was to pull a monthly/quarterly list out of our School enrollment CRM and pay Tessitura to do the data upload/entry, but this feels low-tech and perhaps unsustainable. . .not sure if I'm over complicating it. Any advice would help!
Hello Alexandra! This is Kelsey with Tessitura Network Support. We’re happy to assist you with this post. I can see from our records that there was already a Support ticket created for this where we’re working with you to find a resolution to this question. It looks like in this case the best route would be creating a custom integration between Tessitura and Data 4 Artists. If you have any other questions or concerns please let us know!
Hi Alexandra,
We are in a similar situation - our regular academy enrollment is all done through the academy, but our adult students use a different platform. Many of these accounts are already in Tessitura for one reason or another, and one simple thing you can do is run a constituency utility to automatically mark Tessitura accounts as "Adult students", or something like that. It's super simple, but it just requires the accounts to be in Tessitura already. My plan is to continue doing that quarterly - it's never going to be updated in real time but it's better than nothing.
And we use constituencies for Adult parents of academy students, child students, Nutcracker student, parent of Nutcracker student, etc., which is also easy to do with the utility.

Hey Alexandra,
When us ballet orgs would get together at conference to talk about MindBody and Tessitura we used to talk about this. Sydney Dance Co do a lot of this still even though they have an external LMS. We had a few instances where you could see the Customer Journey Mapping from Schools audience > School Holiday workshop > Attending performances with family > Intensive workshop > Pre-Professional Year diploma > Company dancer.
You can export data from M4A and do a constituent import that auto adds an attribute easy enough manually. Lital would probably remember. We did a Proof-of-Concept integration before I left (but if Tess are going to do an integration go with that).
