WordFly Survey Security

Hi there (me again),

I have an interesting question from my peeps about putting some survey responses behind security groups.   Just thought I'd put that question out there.

BTW/ we do have anonymous surveys set up.  This is about locking down some surveys with sensitive information.

Cheers,

  • Hi Heath -

Always happy to help if I can. You raise an interesting question, and there's a yes/no answer to it.

The WordFly Pages Integration itself can be control grouped - but it is meant for a single control group per organization ala consortia set up. This means that I can think of a couple of ways you might be able to almost set this up - but I'm not 100% sure it will meet your needs.

The first, and most obvious, is that any Tessitura object (CSI, Attribute) can be set up with a control group attached to it. As long as the WordFly user (used to create the objects in the integration) has access to those control groups, it should be able to make secured objects in Tessitura via the integration. You can also secure the page itself via ITR_WF_PAGE_CONTROL_GROUP_MAPPING. This will then lock down the WordFly Reponses report and the custom screen.

It wouldn't be able to be done by question within a survey, but I think that if you were set up using control groups properly and all the various accounts had the right permissions, you could manage something.

As always, I would advise testing to make sure this works as I am doing a little bit of a twist to fit your use case. I'm pretty solid on the logic though, so I'm feeling pretty confident on my answer.

Let me know if that helps and if you try it, how it works!

    Cheers,

    Heather

  • Thanks Heather.  I've had a chat internally and we'll work at the individual survey level.

    Many thanks
