We need your help to create a volunteer management custom screen for the community. Currently, what's available for volunteer management is built using Infomaker, but we'd like to make this to fill this common need in the community. We're looking for developers who can collaborate to create a custom screen that can be committed to a public repository and maintained open-source.
There are several ways you can contribute to this open-source project, such as:
Development: You can contribute to developing the custom screen by writing code, testing, and debugging.
Design: You can help create the custom screen's user interface and user experience design.
Documentation: You can help document the code, write user guides, and create technical documentation. Here are some resources to get started:
Documentation on building web-based custom screens: /cfs-file/__key/communityserver-discussions-components-files/473/Tessitura_5F00_Custom_5F00_Screens_5F00_v150.pdf
Setting up a custom tab: https://www.tessituranetwork.com/Help_System_v151h/Tessitura.htm#System_Tables/TR_CUSTOM_TAB.htm?Highlight=TR_Custom_Tab
Testing: You can help test the custom screen and report bugs or issues.
By joining this project, you'll have the opportunity to showcase your skills, collaborate with other developers, and gain valuable experience working on an open-source project.
Check out the community post (https://community.tessituranetwork.com/topical_groups/developers/f/developer-discussion/32772/custom-screen-building---step-by-step/85251#85251) to learn more and join us in creating something unique. Let's work together to build a better future for our community!
Hi Marcus,Do you have the public repository set up where people can contribute code?If not, could I suggest making one in the Tessitura Developers community Bitbucket: TN_WebShare / Repositories — Bitbucket
There are already Tessitura developers in there submitting things, so it could be a good place for your project if you don't already have a repository.
Sorry about that! The repo is located here. For access to the Bitbucket repo, you can get access by submitting this form.
Once this gets implemented, NBMAA would love to do some testing on it! I've also been the one writing up all of our in-house user manuals, so I can help write up a user guide as well.
