When trying to add a constituent record, I get the following error. "The constituent must have a non-control grouped label address with an active address type." I tried providing every single address type in the system, still get the same issue. Any ideas on how to solve this issue please?
Are all the address types in the system control grouped?
Yes, there is not an option to leave them control group-less. Ours all have the default control group selected.
Did you check to make sure the "label" box is checked?
There is no label checkbox. Is there another system table that I should know about?
Under the constituent record in the, contact details tab I can see a label checkbox on the address, but I'm not sure how one would check that box via API.
Joyce Rudyanto, she meant when you attempt to add the address - do you have the "Label" check box checked.
Thanks Michele! I looked at the question again and realized API isn't mentioned anywhere. Tunc is working on creating accounts and posting contribution transactions through an API integration.
In this context, the default control group is equivalent to "not control grouped". That said, it looks like "Corporate or Foundation" in your screenshot is control grouped. If that's the type being used, that could be the problem. I know the OP says every type was attempted, but may be worth double-checking.
Thanks, A. Freeman. This screenshot is actually from the tessitura documentation. I didn't have my application open when replying earlier. 100% of our address types are default control group.
