August Service Pack now available

HI Everyone,

The August Service Pack is now available. Please see the full product announcement for more details.

This release has several new features, most notably "Auto-Attend", which allows you to automatically mark tickets as attended at the time they are purchase, based on several conditions such as Mode of Sale, performance doors open and close times, and zone times.

For developers, there are a few things to note:

  • There is a new field for Zone Groups that can be set in Tessitura and retrieved via the API as an alias for the zone group name. This is intended to provide a web-friendly name for a zone group.
  • There is a new performance type settings that allows members to specify what countries an event can be sold to  - this is primarily intended for use selling digital content. The Performance Search REST API endpoint, if you pass it the customer number, will return a boolean value indicating if a particular performance can be sold to the patron or not based on this perf_type restriction. The API itself does not restrict or validate the purchase of the item. The needs to be done in the business logic of the application consuming the API.
  • TXN/Performances/Prices now respects usergroup price type security, like TXN/PriceTypes/Details does. If a member is using TXN/Performances/Prices and has pricetypes that are restricted from the web API user group, those pricetypes may no longer be available via the API once this update is applied until API security permissions are properly configured . Members should look at their pricetype security settings to make sure they are set up correctly to avoid problems.

I'll post a preview of September soon! Thanks,
