Preview of the August Service Packs

Hi everyone,

Here's a preview of what you can expect to be delivered in the August service packs - currently targeted for the week of Aug. 10, subject to change:

Country restrictions on the sale of performance types
This is in support of digital content online. Simply put - taxes on digitally streamed content can be extremely complex. This feature allows you to limit the countries in which a digital product can be sold, such that it limits the exposure to international taxes that must be paid.

Web Aliases for Zone Groups
In the future, TNEW will be supporting Zone Groups for display in the TNEW application and we know many of your use this today on your custom sites. As with many entities in the Tessitura database, a patron-facing, friendly name is needed for display online. This does that, and the field will be available via the Tessitura API.

Auto Attendance option for performances and packages in the Tessitura Application and TRBO
This feature allows you to automatically mark a ticket "attended" at the time of sale. We consider this part of our COVID response because it enables you to limit interaction and contact with patrons at the time of sale. No tickets need to change hands, and nothing needs to be scanned. This is a very common customization for museums and attractions, and we've started hearing potential use-cases from performing arts members as well. Once you are on 15.1.13, if you have an auto-attend customization you should move to the standard functionality if at all possible.

Tessitura Analytics Dashboard Example: Event Forecasting
Many of you are having to do more sophisticated projections in the current climate. In some cases, staff that aren't typically responsible for this are now being asked to do the work. This Tessitura Analytics dashboard will provide a great example off which you can build your own forecasting dashboard to get a holistic view of revenue for different product sales scenarios.

Important Notes About Monthly Updates:
A large majority of members are now on 15.1. As we continue including new features in the monthly updates, we will only be including them in 15.1 to limit the amount of time our teams that work on product need to spend developing for previous versions of the application. This will begin with the August Service Pack.

We will also be reducing the number of defects fixed in 15.0 updates to critical defects - these are defects that have an immediate impact on revenue generation (ticket selling, processing contributions, charging credit cards), and preclude its productive use, and issues that cause immediate loss of customer service or stoppage of routine secondary business functions such as settling a performance, generating reports, updating records.

This adjustment enables us to continue delivering high-value, lower risk features that our members need while also continuing to work toward our primary goal of delivering v16.

Many thanks!
