Question About "Print Acknowledgement Letters" Settings

Is anyone willing to share the settings they use for the "Print Acknowledgement Letters" utility? We are finding that many gifts are being missed and are unsure how to adjust our settings to fix this.

Here is the background: We onboarded from Raiser's Edge to Tessitura v.16 in May and onbording helped us setup the report to run twice a week, each time looking back 3 or 4 days. The issue I'm now realizing is that since this report is run based on contribution date and not transaction date if a gift is back-dated outside of those narrow windows it will not be caught.

The solution I'm considering is to set the report to run with a "Begin Date" of very far back, something like 1/1/1900. Since gifts won't be repulled into the report unless I set "Reprint" to Yes I shouldn't need to worry about gifts being pulled in that had previously been pulled in.

I am meeting with support this week to review this issue but would value the input from those using this report for their daily work. Thanks so much.

  • We have a custom version of the Print Acknowledgement Letters which i run manually every week. I always have the begin date set back to the same date, which is about a year back. (probably overkill, but I want to be sure I get all the letters) I would consider making your begin date the date that you went live in Tessitura.  I never select Reprint and we have no issues and all letters are generated.
