Hello DBAs.
I work in advancement services and was wondering, what are the different ways you're using the interests feature (under the attributes tab)? It is not yet used at my institution, and we'd love to hear how other orgs are putting this to use! Fundraising-related, or otherwise.
Looking forward to learning more about the use cases. Thank you!

Interests can be presented in TNEW (and Wordfly, probably other communication integrators) to customers to select for themselves, and they can be attached to production elements (that is productions seasons, performances, etc.) They can be "weighted", i.e. a number computed for them as related to the customer in question, although like ranking this generally needs custom coding. As a presenter, we align these interests to various "genres" that we sort our events into, and then marketing and development can see both how customers express their "interests" as well as how they actually purchase in those genres. For the production elements I have had to create custom list criteria to allow selection, I'm not sure if there are other reports or methods of sorting that out.
