We are having trouble trying to pull something as a segmentation/list and I'm hoping someone who hasn't been staring at it for weeks can help me. Support wasn't really able to provide insight.
Two scenarios, but the same principles.
Scenario A) We record part of our gala ticket as a donation to an Events Campaign so it can be tax receipted. Several people ONLY attend the gala and don't make a donation through the year, but some people, for example will attend gala and make a donation to our Individual Giving Campaign. We don't always want to include people in mailers who only attend the gala. So we need to pull a segmentation that suppresses only gala donors but includes those who attended the gala AND made another donation. We can't figure it out.
Scenario B) We want to pull a list of people who attended certain shows as single ticket buyers for the past few years to market Snow White to. We want to suppress Nutcracker buyers but NOT Nutcracker buyers who also attended one of the selected shows. So if someone attended Dracula and Nutcracker they should be included, if someone attended Dracula only they should be included, but if someone attended ONLY Nutcracker they should not be included. Same idea, but with tickets instead of donations.
I've turned to analytics to try to make this work, and we got to a point that still includes some excel clean up. Ideally I'd like to do it as a segmentation/list, so if anyone has any brilliant ideas, I'd appreciate the insight!

A) first criterion: Contribution in Event Campaign second criterion: Contribution HAS Individual Giving Campaign should give you the Event and Ind both donors. When you want to exclude Event only donors, same but replace HAS with 'Does Not Have' for your exclusion. But that is overthinking. If you want just donors to Ind Giving, just make that the only criterion and leave Event donations out of your list making.
B) Do you have production seasons for all the non-Nutcracker shows? Building a list of years of individual perfs could run into the 4k character limit for lists, but you might be able to just select everyone who has purchased tickets to any non-Nutcracker production season. If they only have Nutcracker, they won't be included because you didn't include Nutcracker Production seasons in your criteria.
