Hi DBAs, wondering if there's a consensus on proofing results in segments? How in depth is your proofing process?
Personally (and I'm not a DBA I'm a development coordinator), I typically proof a few dozen records. I have gone up to about 100 records before, but it's usually less. Are you proofing a percentage of results, or are you proofing based on available time and confidence in results?
Looking forward to hearing more to help streamline the process in my department. Thanks in advance!
For me, I generally know what numbers I'm expecting, so if the results roughly match my thoughts, I'll only proof a handful just to cover my butt. But if it's a super-important list/extraction/segment, I'll go up to 20 or so.
