Hey friends! I have an idea for a TLCC panel, and I would love one or two other people to go in on it with me: "Fun with System Tables"
I imagine this as being part of the "So Now You're a DBA" series, and it would cover some of the basics a new DBA would need to know about system tables (like, "It's always T_Defaults" and "Is there anything that doesn't live in T_Keywords?") as well as dipping a toe into some of the cool semi-custom things that you can do in system tables (like custom query elements).
Anyone want to throw your hat in with me? Or even just help me brainstorm how to flesh out this topic more?

Hi Shelly!
I love the idea! Are you thinking just tables inside of the Tessitura client, or in sql too? I would be happy to help with some of that :-)
Kathleen, we could get into a lot with the the SQL tables. I would love this to be a session that's focused on making system tables accessible to new DBAs while also giving new tips and tricks to intermediate DBAs. I feel like an advanced course on SQL tables and customizations could be a whole session (or multiple sessions) unto itself. I do think it would be great to make the connection between system tables and the full set of tables in SQL, though, and maybe provide some resources for people who want to explore more down that path. And if there are other sessions about SQL (as there have been in the past), we can let people know when those sessions will take place.
and little tips like using manual edit in list manager to learn sql, perhaps? :-) can't break anything in there, lol!
Yeah, for sure!
