Hi all,
Right now we have our annual gala set up to sell online and our Devo team wants the raffle tickets to be an option for people to pick along with their tickets/tables. However, we can only sell 200 raffle tickets as per our license. Is there away without using a different section on the price map for this to show up with a 200 seat limit on it? I don't want people to have the ability to pick a section or even have them show up greyed out. Any ideas with pricing rules or something else?
Thanks!
Nicki
Not knowing the ins and outs of how you have this setup, here's a couple of ideas:1) setup the raffle as a separate performance that is in a general admission facility
2) I know there is a pricing rule option of "maximum seats" which indicates how many seats can be sold with that rule. I don't know if then people would be able to get tickets without the rule after the max is reached. Play around with it and test it out.
You could do it as a separate performance, and then do a tnew cart message that will give them a link to add them on. (I can help you if you need)
Hi All,
As an FYI with the Max Limit on Pricing Rules - the rule stops firing once the 200th ticket is purchased. So, if 198 tickets have been purchased and someone adds 4 tickets to their cart, the rule will still work for them for all 4 tickets, resulting in 202 tickets sold. The next person in the queue wouldn't be able to purchase tickets, but that last patron could add as many to cart as they'd like. If you have a strict inventory limit, pricing rules aren't the best way to handle that, unfortunately.
Best,
Katina
A late chime in here, but- I have done this quite often, and it works well for us! (and it would avoid the potential of overselling).
Thanks, Jen, I did this and it worked!!
