Hello,
I'm looking to immerse and educate myself on topics related to data analysis. I am responsible for a lot of analysis in my current role but I have to admit (to all of you) that I stumbled my way here and it is not part of my educational background. That being said, I love what I do when it comes to data, but I know that I have a tremendous gap in knowledge when it comes to where I aspire to be. I feel the need to be in the know of the latest trends or topics as it pertains to Data analytics, Power BI, SQL, etc. but I'm not sure where to begin (save for the daily google search.) Any assistance from any of you who perhaps utilize resources/newsletters/other forums would be greatly appreciated!
Luis Castro,
The analytic Coffee group might be helpful to you in this area.

This would be a great question for one of our gatherings. however, to answer your question a bit more directly, for power bi, the video podcast guy in a cube can be helpful https://youtube.com/c/GuyinaCube
Hi Luis,
Everything Tom said (I need that on a t-shirt).
Also if you are interested in data visualisation then the Storytelling with Data newsletter is fun and they have a lot of resources and a book as well.
I'll also point at this thread Brian put up entitled Analytics Book Club which ended up with me buying a bunch of stuff.
Of course listening to Sarah Herrera's talk on Addressing Bias in Data should be on the top of everyone's list.
Welcome to the "Accidental DBA" (and Analysts) club.
Cheers,
H
Thank you Tom Brown (Past Member) and Heath Wilder for the recommendations! I greatly appreciate you.
The North America analytic Coffee group is getting together in less than 1/2 hour.
