Hello friends,
It's incredibly hard to believe that it's December once again, but here we are. I hope that you all are well and that the push to the end of the year goes smoothly!
I would like to take this time to recognize and thank Laura House for her service to this community. She was valiantly leading the charge for us Consortia Leaders for a long time when I came on board in April 2020, and this community would not be as active as it is today without her leadership. While Laura will be stepping away from her co-planner role to end 2021, I hope that we will continue to see her in our meetings and benefit from her insight and expertise.
I am also excited to introduce Andrew Chew from Perth as our new co-planner of this community. One of our greatest strengths in this community has been that we have members joining from all three of the major geographic regions that make up the global Tessitura community. I am incredibly thankful for Andrew's willingness to take on this role, and I hope that having co-planners spread out through the regions will help us put together meetings that are more convenient for more members to attend.
I hope that you will join one of our upcoming Holiday Happy Hour events to celebrate both Laura and Andrew and also to learn a bit more about your colleagues in this community. We will be even more casual than usual in these meetings, using "icebreaker"-style questions to learn a bit more about everyone in attendance. Even if you aren't able to join us for the full hour of either event, I hope that you'll be able to stop by for even just a few minutes.
The first of these meetings will happen this week on Thursday 9 December at a time convenient for attendees from the AP & EU. Andrew will be leading this call, which begins at 4 PM AWST for him in Perth or at 8 AM GMT for our EU friends.
The second meeting will happen next week on Thursday, December 16th/16 December at a time convenient for attendees from the NA & EU. I'll be leading this call, which starts at Noon on the NA East Coast, at 9 AM for our West Coast friends, and at 5 PM GMT for EU attendees.
In the next few weeks, we'll also be circulating a survey about what you hope to see from this community in 2022, but for now, we'll focus on celebrating the year that has been.
