These guys do a good job for folks who already know MS Excel but want to jump forward with the MS Power BI suite primarily the analytic components in Power Pivot.

They also have a bunch of good resources on their blog.

Power BI connector for Tessitura Analytics

From Robert Derby

Tessitura has an excellent Analytics product for modern dashboards.  Unfortunately, it only provides insight on data within the Tessitura database.  Many organizations have multiple sources of data for example digital video, marketing data, finance systems, etc.   We need comprehensive and easy analytics that includes all the data sources needed to make strategic decisions.

One way that could help is if Tessitura would facilitate mechanisms to more easily share data from Analytics.  I am aware orgs can schedule exports of reports, but these are only a snapshot of the data.  There is also a REST API but I believe it does not pull from Analytics and would require extensive programming to recreate the same dashboards.

I ask that Tessitura create (or help create) a Microsoft Power BI connector to Analytics.  Power BI is a popular analytics tool designed for organizations to easily create custom visuals using many data sources.  It would be ideal if the connector allowed us to pull from our existing Tessitura dashboards and widgets.

This should not take away from the need for Tessitura Analytics dashboards as the foundation for organization strategic decisions.  We would simply be building on them with additional data.

Happy to discuss and collaborate.
